(London, SoloAzar Exclusive).- Simon Westbury, Chief Business Officer at Digitain, granted an interview to SoloAzar, in which he shared the highlights of 2021 and his expectations about the performance of the firm in 2022, among other issues.

"Overall, we were very pleased with our performance in 2021, especially given the challenging environment. 2021 was a record-breaking year, both in terms of new deals which were up over 30% compared with 2020, and in terms new revenues from partners signed," said Westbury.
"Highlights of the year for me included the growth of the overall sales team with new local teams in Asia and LatAm appointed, and also the significant expansion of our product range, including our own in-house developed ones."
"From a market perspective, we stayed market leader in our core markets but saw good expansion into LatAm where we saw great growth with a number of exciting deals. Also, our award -winning Sportsbook API product had a fantastic year and remained as market leader in 2021," he added.
Talking about the expectations for 2022, he commented: "We have very ambitious sales plans for this year, including a number of challenging KPIs that we feel confident in achieving. I plan to grow our capabilities by expanding the current Armenia-based sales team and also continue the increase our Internationally- based sales teams."
He then said: "This year we will also continue to improve our cooperation with other departments, in order to expand sales and develop deeper understanding of different markets and how the interdependencies with other departments can make Digitain stronger on a global level."
"As you would expect, we have already agreed a comprehensive trade show schedule to allow us to get out and meet partners personally, on some occasions for the first time. As ever, Digitain will focus on introducing and developing more high level, high value partnerships."
Finally, when asked about the new products, Westbury anticipated: "We have a very ambitious product development strategy – and I’m most excited by the plans for the continued improvement of our own proprietary sportsbook this year. As well as that, we have some big product launches coming soon, including a new payment gateway and our own in-house developed, exciting Live Dealer product."
"We also have a great new marketing tool launching in 2022. Our new CRM system, using cutting edge AI technology, will enable our partners to provide sophisticated and personalized communications to their customers, improving retention and also player engagement. Overall, we are equally excited about 2022 and look forward to an even more successful year than 2021," he concluded.
